Playing is imagining: creating fantastical worlds, stepping into new roles and challenging norms. Play means games and rules and patterns. In the playful, we explore details and focus on processes. And, play is a pastime.

Selected through an open call, ten artistic positions unfold a variety of approaches to the theme of play. The title refers not only to content, but also to a way of creating. Through metaphors and storytelling, rules and make-believe, joy and sentiment, the artists offer glimpses into different worlds, where we might discover something new and unexpected.

A stage is set, a playground is built.
